The mission of PROJECT 82, an orphan ministry based in Marietta, GA, is to be the evidence of God's grace and perfect love to orphans in Kenya. One of the ministry's core beliefs is that a child has the best opportunity to thrive in a family environment and P82 is therefore committed to ministry solutions that support empowering community and family to protect and care for the orphans among them.
There are 43.4 million orphans in Sub-Sahara Africa and Kenya is home to nearly 3 million of them.
In a nation with rising orphan population due to HIV/AIDS, tribal conflict and poverty driven disease, communities are struggling to care for the orphans among them.
